You can get to Thessaloniki by car, by train or by air. Thessaloniki is 510 north of Athens. Follow the national road Athens – Thessaloniki and take the exit to Oraiokastro. From Athens you can also take the buses (KTEL) which go to Thessaloniki. If you choose to travel by train, the journey with Inter City Express lasts about 4.5 hours. There are also daily flights to Macedonia airport in Thessaloniki from Athens, Crete, Lesvos, Rhodes and many more European cities.
